Is the top one always the “best” expansion?
It’s the one we’d buy first for most groups. The label on each card tells you more: “Depends on your group” means it’s great for some tables and wrong for others — read the note.
What happens when I tick “I own this”?
That expansion drops off the list and the rest move up. If something needed it, the “get this first” warning goes away.

Why is an expansion hidden when I pick a player count?
Some boxes only work at certain player counts — for example, a 5–6 player extension does nothing for a group of four. We note which ones we hid.
What does “Get X first” mean?
That expansion needs another expansion to play, not just the base game. Buy them in that order.
Why isn’t an expansion ranked?
We couldn’t find enough solid reviews yet. It still appears under “Also out there” with what it adds.
Do editions matter?
Sometimes a lot. Where a game has edition traps (like 7 Wonders 1st vs 2nd edition), we put a “Check before you buy” box on that game’s page.
Are prices current?
No — they’re list prices from the publisher or reviews, as a rough guide. Store prices change daily.
