Start with Clank! Sunken Treasures.

  1. Number 1: Clank! Sunken Treasures

    Buy this first

Adds: Two-sided board, 36 cards, market board, flooded caverns and swimming.

Fixes: Adds a new double-sided map and simple flooded-room rules for fresh variety.

Meeple Mountain preferred it over Mummy's Curse, and several BGG players said: if you get one, get this.

Usually a better fit for a different kind of group — still fine if it sounds fun.

  2. Adds: New boards in the Expeditions series.

Fixes: New map where the paths change, plus a short campaign option.

BGG players rank it just after Sunken Treasures; its shifting paths and mini-campaign are liked.

  3. Adds: Double-sided board: Dwarven Mine and Spider Queen's Lair, with tokens and a market board; no new cards.

Fixes: Two maps with their own simple rules add variety.

Reviewers found both maps easy to teach and different enough to change how you play; the only gripe is no new cards.

  4. Number 4: Clank! The Mummy's Curse

    Worth it

Adds: Two-sided board, 41 cards, a wandering mummy and pyramid die.

Fixes: Adds a new map and card set for more replay value.

Fun new map and cards, but Meeple Mountain found the mummy rarely does much, so it ranks behind Sunken Treasures.

  5. Number 5: Clank! Adventuring Party

    Depends on your group

Adds: 6 asymmetric starting decks/characters and a side board for 5-6 players.

Fixes: Lets 5-6 people play and gives each player different starting powers.

Get it if you want 5-6 players or unique player decks; BGG players note it adds no new maps and can feel fiddly.

You need Clank! or Clank! Legacy (after campaign).

Usually a better fit for a different kind of group — still fine if it sounds fun.
